HC Deb 20 April 1931 vol 251 cc575-6
2. Lieut.-Commander KENWORTHY

asked the Secretary of State for India whether he is in a position to make any further statement about the prospects of extending the air-mail services from this country beyond Delhi and to Burma; and what steps are being taken by the Indian Government to establish this service?

Mr. BENN

As regards the extension of the Indian State air service to Calcutta, I would refer my hon. and gallant Friend to the reply which I gave him on the 2nd March. The position in regard to the further extension of the service beyond Calcutta remains as stated in the reply given to the hon. Member for East Wolverhampton (Mr. Mander) on the 20th January by my hon. Friend, the Under-Secretary of State for Air.
