asked the Postmaster-General the number of rural telephones in Durham and Northumberland, respectively, for the years 1928, 1929, and 1930?

The figures for Durham on the 31st December in each year were 1,857 in 1928, 2,040 in 1929, and 2,322 in 1930. The corresponding figures for Northumberland were 1,552, 1,700 and 1,853.
