HC Deb 14 April 1931 vol 251 cc22-3
41. Mr. MILLS

asked the Postmaster-General if, in view of the rapid growth of the Welling, Barnehurst, Bexley, and Belvedere areas of the Dartford division of Kent, he will at once replace the small wall boxes by regulation sizes and increase the number of boxes now available in each of these districts?

The ASSISTANT POSTMASTER-GENERAL (Mr. Viant)

I find that the Welling, Barnehurst, Bexley and Belvedere areas are adequately provided with posting boxes. The circumstances do not justify any general replacement of the small wall boxes, but I will consider whether any individual boxes can with advantage be replaced by boxes of a larger size.
