asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer the total amount of Floating Debt outstanding at the end of March, 1930, and at the end of September, 1930.

Following is the answer:

The Floating Debt amounted on the 31st March, 1930, to £637,415,000 and on the 30th September, 1930, to £690,065,000. The increase is of course seasonal. The corresponding figures for the previous year were:
