§ Dr. SHIELSYes, Sir. The Samburu are still in occupation of the area to which they were given provisional access. The question of making other arrangements for the tribe is still under the consideration of the Kenya Government, and no definite recommendation has yet been submitted. If a survey has recently been made of the nature stated by my hon. Friend on the Loroki plateau, it can be be provisional only, as no new arrangement for land for the Samburu could be made without reference to my Noble Friend the Secretary of State for the Colonies.
