§ 30. Major GLYNasked the Secretary of State for War why the Army List still mentions Militia battalions when Special Reserve battalions are indicated; and why the titles of these units are still described as, for instance, the 3rd Royal Lancashire Militia, in spite of the Militia as a separate branch of the Army having ceased to exist some years before the War?
§ Mr. SHAWThe hon. and gallant Member has, I think, overlooked the fact that Section 2 of the Territorial Army and Militia Act, 1921, provided specifically that the Special Reserve should be called the Militia.
