§ Sir C. TREVELYANI regret that I have not the necessary information to enable me to answer the first part of the hon. Member's question. As regards the second part of the question, the type of instruction to be provided for older children is, generally speaking, left to the discretion of the local education authorities. I have, however, already drawn the attention of the authorities to the importance of providing facilities for varying types of instruction for these older children, and, as one of the results of reorganisation now going on, there is a continued increase in the number of schools in which such facilities are, in fact, provided.
