HC Deb 17 November 1930 vol 245 c16
60. Commander SOUTHBY

asked the Minister of Agriculture the number of persons now employed in the keddle-net fishing industry; and whether the recent gales have caused any damage to the nets and gear?

The MINISTER of AGRICULTURE (Dr. Addison)

I am advised that there are 66 persons engaged in keddle-net fishing on the south-east coast as a part-time occupation, and that damage to some of the nets and gear was caused during gales at the end of September.
