§ 51. Sir A. POWNALLasked the Prime Minister if he intends to make a statement to the House with regard to the decisions arrived at by the Imperial Conference?
§ 52. Mr. D. G. SOMERVILLEasked the Prime Minister whether he can now make any statement as to the progress of the 37 negotiations at the Imperial Economic Conference for the promotion of inter-Empire trade?
§ The PRIME MINISTERHon. Members will not, I am sure, expect me to attempt to summarise the conclusions of the Imperial Conference within the limits of a reply to a Parliamentary question. The report of the proceedings of the Conference will, I hope, be laid before the House within the course of a few days, and I would suggest that any decision as to a debate on the business of the Conference could best he deferred until after the presentation of the report.
§ Sir A. POWNALLCan the right hon. Gentleman say why more has not been possible on the economic side of the Conference?
