§ 36. Sir N. GRATTAN-DOYLEasked the Minister of Labour from what distressed areas persons have been transferred for employment elsewhere during the current year, to what areas they have been transferred, and in what numbers in respect of the two types of areas, respectively?
§ Miss BONDFIELDThe number of vacancies in other districts filled by persons from depressed areas in the period 31st December, 1929, to 3rd November, 1930, was 27,500. I regret that it is not possible, from the records available, to give separately the number of persons who have been brought forward from each depressed area. I will circulate in the OFFICIAL. REPORT a statement showing the distribution of the vacancies filled over the Divisional areas of the Ministry of Labour.
