89. Mr. TINNEasked the Minister of Health whether, in view of the provisions of the Food and Drugs (Adulteration) Act, 1928, he will take steps to prevent the sale of synthetic honey or prepared honey?
§ Mr. GREENWOODI will consider the matter in connection with the in- 1853 formation which I have just received from the hon. Member. Meanwhile, however, I may say that if these articles are sold in contravention of any provision of the Food and Drugs (Adulteration) Act, it is open to any person to take proceedings, and that the duty of enforcing the Act rests on Local Authorities and not on my Department.
