May we be informed what Business it is proposed to take next week??

The PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY to the TREASURY (Mr. T. Kennedy)

I have been asked to reply. The business next week will be:

Monday: Opportunity will be afforded of discussing the policy of His Majesty's Government in Palestine. If there is time the Second Reading of the Cunard (Insurance) Agreement Bill and of the Metropolitan Police (Staff Superannuation and Police Fund) Bill will be taken.

Tuesday: The Second Reading of the Agricultural Land (Utilisation) Bill will be resumed and disposed of by 7.30, and will be followed by the Committee stage of the necessary Money Resolution.

Wednesday: Private Members' Motions.

Thursday: Education (School Attendance) Bill, Committee stage; Agricultural Land (Utilisation) Money Resolution, Report stage.

Friday: Private Members' Bills will be taken.

On any day, should time permit, other Orders will be taken.

Would the hon. Gentleman say how the discussion will arise on Monday regarding Palestine? Will it be on a Motion for the Adjournment?

Is any action to be taken on the Resolution re pre-War pensions which the House of Commons passed last night?

Mr. KENNEDY

The hon. Member had better put a question on the Paper on that subject.
