Mr. A. HENDERSONIn September, Marshal Chang, the Governor of Manchuria, took over the control of certain districts in North-Western China, including the Peking and Tientsin area. This transfer of control was affected peacefully. The National Government have stated that Marshal Chang is acting in complete accord with them.
§ Mr. HANNONDoes this mean that a return to normal conditions in Northern China will be made easier now?
