HC Deb 06 November 1930 vol 244 cc1026-7
51. Mr. MUFF

asked the Prime Minister whether he will consider the advisability of making public the evidence given to the recent conference on electoral reform?

The Conference was left free to determine its own procedure. It decided that its proceedings should be private, no formal evidence being taken, and that only the information contained in Lord Ullswater's letter, which was laid before Parliament, should be published. In these circumstances I am afraid it would not be possible to entertain the suggestion made by my hon. Friend.
