Mr. A. HENDERSONAt the recent Assembly of the League of Nations His Majesty's Government proposed the setting up of a permanent slavery commission as an organ of the League of Nations. This proposal was not accepted, but His Majesty's Government are still of the opinion that it would be desirable. It is, however, too soon to make any announcement regarding the policy to be adopted by His Majesty's Government towards this question at the 12th Assembly of the League of Nations.
§ Mr. WHITEMay I assume from that answer that the whole influence of the Government will be in that direction at the right time?
