§ 36. Mr. L'ESTRANGE MALONEasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he has received any reports concerning the treatment of the Ukrainian minority in Poland; and whether, in view of the right conferred by Article 12 of the minorities treaties upon any member of the Council of the League of Nations to bring to the attention of the Council any infraction or any 457 danger of infraction of the obligations incurred by these treaties, His Majesty's Government intend to take any action?
Mr. A. HENDERSONSuch reports as I have at present received do not enable me to form any definite opinion respecting the recent disturbance to which my hon. Friend doubtless refers. I am now awaiting a fuller report from His Majesty's Ambassador at Warsaw. I would, however, remind my hon. Friend that, if there is any infraction of the minorities treaties, it is open to the minority concerned to address a petition to the Secretary-General of the League of Nations.
