HC Deb 29 May 1930 vol 239 c1486
86. Mr. DAY

asked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury whether the Government will consider the question of securing as a national possession the aeroplane in which Miss Amy Johnson made her flight to Australia?

The UNDER-SECRETARY of STATE for AIR (Mr. Montague)

I have been asked to reply. I am given to understand that Miss Johnson has already contracted to sell the aeroplane in question to a private purchaser.

Is the hon. Gentleman aware that this particular aeroplane has already become the property of the "Daily Mail"?
