49. Captain CROOKSHANK

asked the Prime Minister what arrangements are being made for carrying out the duties with regard to unemployment hitherto carried out by the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster?

50. Mr. BRACKEN

asked the Prime Minister what arrangements he proposes to make for carrying out the responsibilities regarding unemployment hitherto discharged by the late Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster?

The PRIME MINISTER

I would refer the hon. Members to the answer given on Monday last in reply to a question by the hon. Member for Newcastle, North (Sir N. Grattan-Doyle).

Sir K. WOOD

Is it proposed that the new occupant of the office shall give the same assistance to the Lord Privy Seal as the previous occupant had done?

Captain CROOKSHANK

Can the right hon. Gentleman say what he meant in the speech which he made the other day, when he said that he was personally going to take a hand in the matter?

The PRIME MINISTER

The hon. and gallant Member has not quoted me accurately.
