HC Deb 21 May 1930 vol 239 c395
55. Mr. DAY

asked the Minister of Transport whether any correspondence has recently passed between his Department and the railway companies which will have as its object the replacement of non-corridor stock by corridor stock on all their passenger trains; and can he give particulars?

The MINISTER of TRANSPORT (Mr. Herbert Morrison)

No correspondence has recently passed between my Department and the railway companies on the subject.

Mr. DAY

Will the right hon. Gentleman consider making representations in regard to having space provided in non-corridor trains between compartments?

Mr. MORRISON

If my hon. Friend will communicate with me on the point, I will see if it is desirable to take any steps.
