Mr. LEEasked the Secretary for Mines whether his Department are receiving any complaints from collieries that have coal-cutting and coal-carrying machines respecting the long hours men are being compelled to stay at their usual and ordinary work; and whether his Department have issued any instructions that countenance such longer shifts and 36 the return to work at less than the usual break between the shifts?
