§ 49. Major Sir ARCHIBALD SINCLAIRasked the Prime Minister whether, having regard to the condition of the agricultural industry, and in view of the support accorded in this House and in the country to the proposal that a conference of representatives of all three parties should be called to consider the problems arising therefrom, he is now prepared to state whether the Government will summon such a conference?
§ The PRIME MINISTERI doubt if a formal conference would be helpful in view of recent experiences, but I should be glad to have the benefit of a consultation on the subject with leaders of parties, should they so desire.
