HC Deb 13 May 1930 vol 238 c1610
29. Mr. HALL-CAINE

asked the Lord Privy Seal whether his attention has been drawn to complaints of delay in the final approval of schemes for the relief of unemployment submitted by the Mersey Docks and Harbour Board; and what action he has taken in the matter?

Mr. THOMAS

No complaint of delay has been made to me by the Mersey Docks and Harbour Board. Provisional sanction for the major schemes costing over £2,000,000 was given on the 8th February. Subsequently a further minor scheme was submitted and approved on 2nd May.
