HC Deb 13 May 1930 vol 238 cc1605-6
20. Sir K. WOOD

asked the Lord Privy Seal when he proposes to introduce the Bill further to enable local authorities to acquire land for the purpose of unemployment schemes; and when the text of the Bill will be available?

Mr. THOMAS

I would refer the right hon. Gentleman to the reply which I gave him on this subject on 4th February, to which I have nothing to add.

Sir K. WOOD

Is the right hon. Gentleman not aware that the time is getting on, and that some months ago he said that this Bill was a very urgent one?

Mr. THOMAS

I still think so, and I am aware how time is getting on by the time that certain Measures take in getting through this House.
