HC Deb 06 May 1930 vol 238 c896

Resolution reported, That there shall be transferred to the Exchequer from the Rating Relief Suspense Account in the current financial year the sum of sixteen million pounds, and in the financial year ending on the thirty-first day of March, nineteen hundred and thirty-two, the balance remaining in the said account.

Motion made, and Question proposed, "That this House doth agree with the Committee in the said Resolution."

Mr. C. WILLIAMS

The Chancellor of the Exchequer in the last Parliament said a great many things about this particular matter, and I would like to ask what is the balance of this account. I think that the House ought to have a clear explanation of what the balance is expected to be.
