asked the Prime Minister when he expects to receive a Report from the committee which is examining the position of the cotton industry in this country; whether this Report will be published; and whether he will also publish the evidence upon which the Report is based?

The PRIME MINISTER (Mr. Ramsay MacDonald)

I understand that the committee hope to he able to submit their Report after Easter. It is impossible to consider the question of publication until the Report is received. The evidence received by the committee has been submitted on the express understanding that it would not he made public. It will therefore not be published.

Mr. HACKING

May we know whether or not the Government have appointed any fresh chairman lately to this committee?

The PRIME MINISTER

I am perfectly certain that the hon. Member knows.

They have not appointed a fourth chairman?
