HC Deb 27 March 1930 vol 237 c581
74. Mr. RAMSBOTHAM

asked the Minister of Health whether he has received any protests from agricultural societies regarding the order he recently issued, prohibiting the exhibition at agricultural shows of animals from tuberculin-tested herds; and, if so, whether, in view of the hardship caused by the imposition of this order, he will reconsider the advisability of introducing it?

Mr. GREENWOOD

Yes, Sir. I have been informed that some of the bodies responsible for the organisation of agricultural shows are now prepared to arrange for the segregation of animals belonging to licensed tuberculin-tested herds, and I have promised to see their representatives with a view to considering the withdrawal of the prohibition in the case of shows where effective provision is made for this purpose.
