§ 24. Mr. FOOTasked the Home Secretary when the Report of the Racecourse Betting Control Board in respect of the period ended the 31st December, 1929, will be presented in Parliament?
§ Mr. CLYNESI would refer the hon. Member to my answer to a similar question by the hon. Member for the West-houghton Division (Mr. Rhys Davies) on the 13th instant.
§ Mr. FOOTIs the right hon. Gentleman aware of the importance of this matter, having regard to the recent public declaration of the Chairman of the Board that the installation of the totalisator had increased attendances at racecourses from 20 to 40 per cent., and is there any reason why we should wait 12 months for the Report?
§ Mr. CLYNESI have not said anything about waiting 12 months. The answer I gave on a former occasion suggested that the question should be raised after the Easter Recess, but, in view of what my hon. Friend now says, I will look into the matter and see if it can be hastened.
