HC Deb 20 March 1930 vol 236 cc2104-5
Brigadier-General CLIFTON BROWN

May I make a personal explanation in regard to a matter which arose between the Minister of Health and myself on 13th March. I should like to say at once that I never intended to impute bad faith to the Minister when I thought at the time that his answer was incorrect. On looking at the OFFICIAL REPORT, I find that my question was misunderstood. The misapprehension arose last Thursday, because the Minister was dealing with a discussion between the British Dairy Farmers' Association last September, five months before the Order was issued, and I had in mind the consultation as to the actual Order. I desire to say that, while accepting that the statement of the Minister was made in good faith, I wish to give notice that I will raise this question at the first available opportunity, so that the position of the British Dairy Farmers' Association may be made perfectly clear.
