HC Deb 13 March 1930 vol 236 c1494
81. Mr. PALMER

asked the Minister of Health how many insured persons under the National Health Insurance Act have been adversely affected in disablement benefit owing to arrears not now covered by the provisions of the prolongation of insurance regulations and allowed for in the transitional arrangements; and what steps, if any, can be taken to restore the title to the full disablement benefit for this restricted class whose disability precluded the chances of employment?

Mr. GREENWOOD

I presume that my hon. Friend refers to those cases in which there has been a reduction in the standard rates of sickness and disablement benefits payable to insured persons after the lapse of a long period without the payment of contributions, and I would refer him to the reply on the same subject given to the hon. Member for Westhoughton (Mr. Rhys Davies) on the 11th instant.
