Mr. ALEXANDERIn addition to the work mentioned in my reply of the 13th November, 1929 (OFFICIAL REPORT, cols. 2015–18) to the hon. Member, the construction of the hulls of two destroyers has been allocated to His Majesty's dockyard, Portsmouth. This class of work has hitherto been assigned to contractors. In addition, the fishery survey vessel about to be ordered at Chatham is also new work.
