HC Deb 10 March 1930 vol 236 cc921-2
75. Rear-Admiral BEAMISH

asked the Attorney-General the present situation and prospects of a Crown Proceedings Bill?

The SOLICITOR - GENERAL (Sir James Melville)

I can only refer the hon. and gallant Member to the answer I gave to a similar question to the effect that in the present state of public business I am not in a position to make any statement on this matter.

Rear-Admiral BEAMISH

Is the hon. and learned Member aware that the Solicitor-General on the 25th of July last year said that he hoped to make a statement shortly after the House re-assembled in the autumn. No statement has been made.

The SOLICITOR-GENERAL

Yes, I am quite aware of that fact.
