§ Dr. SHIELSVery careful consideration has been given to this matter, and I can assure hon. Members that some decision will be arrived at very soon.
Earl WINTERTONIs the hon. Member aware of the many complaints that have been made in Kenya as to the bad effect on the future of the colony which is being caused by this long delay?
§ Dr. SHIELSAll those considerations have been before His Majesty's Government, and they have been given proper weight.
§ Sir ARTHUR STEEL-MAITLANDCan the Under-Secretary say when a decision may be expected?
§ Dr. SHIELSI cannot add anything to the definiteness of my statement.
§ Mr. MORRISBefore the Government come to any decision as to the future of East Africa, will an opportunity be given to this House to discuss the matter?
§ Dr. SHIELSI think that is a question that should be put at a later date. I am not in a position to answer it at the moment.
