§ The amounts charged in the Accounts of the Secretary of State and the High 2 Commissioner for India for the financial year 1928–1929 (the latest completed period) in respect of furlough and pensionary payments to officers of the Indian civil and military services are as follow:

§ Approximately £60,000 per annum is receivable in each year from the War Office on account of military pensions earned by service outside India and some £3,000 from other employers. The remainder is a charge on Indian revenues.
