§ 78. Mr. GOULDasked the Minister of Agriculture whether he can furnish any estimate of the demand that would arise for cottage holdings if these were provided on a letting basis instead of on a selling basis and were eligible for occupation by town workers?
§ Dr. ADDISONNo data exist on which to base an estimate of the demand that would arise in the circumstances mentioned, but it is reasonable to assume it would be very considerable.
§ Mr. GOULDWill the right hon. Gentleman consider the advisability of collaborating with the Ministry of Labour to find out how many are now on the exchange register who would care to participate in such an occupation, and to see that facilities are provided?
§ Dr. ADDISONI shall consider that matter.
