asked the Minister of Transport whether, in view of the increased gravity of the unemployment problem, he can take special steps to accelerate the Committee's report upon the Severn Bridge and barrage?

I understand that the investigations regarding this highly technical proposal are being pursued as rapidly as possible, but that it will not be practicable to complete them till towards the end of next year.
