HC Deb 18 June 1930 vol 240 cc375-6
5. Mr. MANDER

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs if he will state the number of States which have now ratified the Optional Clause of the Permanent Court of International Justice, and the number of States which have adhered to the General Act of Arbitration, Conciliation, and Judicial Settlement?

Mr. A. HENDERSON

Twenty-seven States have ratified the Optional Clause of the Statutes of the Permanent Court of International Justice. Belgium and Denmark have acceded to the General Act for the Pacific Settlement of International Disputes in respect of all its provisions. Norway and Sweden have acceded to the General Act in respect of those of its provisions relating to conciliation and judicial settlement. I will circulate in the OFFICIAL REPORT a statement giving the names of States that have ratified the Optional Clause.

Mr. MANDER

Can the right hon. Gentleman say if all Dominions have now ratified the Convention?

Mr. HENDERSON
