asked the Secretary for Mines the total number of deaths from accidents in coal mines in Great Britain for the year 1929; and what was the total number of deaths due to accident under each of the following heads during 1929, and the percentage of each to the total death-roll, namely, explosions by firedamp, falls of roof and side, in shafts, and miscellaneous (underground) and miscellaneous (surface)?
