HC Deb 02 June 1930 vol 239 cc1757-8

The following question stood upon the Order Paper in the name of Lieut.-Colonel FREMANTLE:

76. To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he is taking steps to summon a preliminary conference of countries manufacturing narcotics with a view to limitation of their output, as suggested on behalf of Great Britain at Geneva on 14th May last; and if the Soviet Republic will be invited to participate in any such conference?

Lieut.-Colonel FREMANTLE

A question which I addressed to the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs has been put on the Order Paper addressed to the Home Secretary, although it related to the pronouncement made by the Foreign Secretary at Geneva. Can it be transferred to the Department to which I originally addressed it?

Mr. SPEAKER

It cannot be done now.
