HC Deb 31 July 1930 vol 242 c696
55. Lieut.-Colonel FREMANTLE

asked the Minister of Health when he expects to receive the views of the local authorities on the Report of the Departmental Committee on the disposal of London refuse; and if he will publish them during the Recess?

The report is being considered by the Standing Joint Committee of the Metropolitan Borough Councils, but it appears that it will not be practicable for them to furnish their views during the Recess.

Lieut.-Colonel FREMANTLE

Will the right hon. Gentleman take steps to see that this matter is not allowed to remain dormant during the Recess so that we shall not again be met with very much the same answer this time next year?

I hope the Recess will not last until this time next year.
