asked the Prime Minister it he intends to announce any further proposals in relation to the mitigation of unemployment before the Recess?

The PRIME MINISTER

No, Sir.

Does the Prime Minister not think that the present grave situation, as revealed by the figures published this morning, demand some immediate and new proposals?

The PRIME MINISTER

The right hon. Gentleman asked me, not whether proposals were to be launched, but whether I am going to talk about them.

Sir K. WOOD

I asked if the right hon. Gentleman was going to announce them.

Has the right hon. Gentleman in mind any steps to be taken during the Recess before the House meets to deal with the unemployment situation?
