HC Deb 30 July 1930 vol 242 cc656-7

Lords Amendment: In page 2, line 3, after the word "inhabitants," insert "of the area."

The SECRETARY of STATE for SCOTLAND (Mr. William Adamson)

I beg to move, "That this House doth agree with the Lords in the said Amendment."

This is a drafting Amendment, but perhaps I may here say a word or two regarding the Lords Amendments generally. Most of them are purely drafting or consequential. The attention of the House will be drawn to those which raise points of substance, and there are some Amendments with which it is proposed to ask the House to disagree, on Clauses 12 and 48.

Subsequent Lords Amendments to page 9, line 2, agreed to.
