HC Deb 22 July 1930 vol 241 c1924
18. Sir MURDOCH MACDONALD

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what action he proposes to take in view of the failure of the railway company to maintain the pier erected by them at Kyleakin?

The UNDER-SECRETARY of STATE for SCOTLAND (Mr. Johnston)

I am advised that the railway company is under no statutory obligation to maintain the pier at Kyleakin, and I am not therefore in a position to take any action in the matter.
