HC Deb 21 July 1930 vol 241 cc1720-1
8. Mr. WELLOCK

asked the Secretary of State for India if he has any reports as to the present economic situation in Bombay; and if he will make a statement on the matter?

Mr. BENN

I have received a good deal of disconnected information and propose a little later to ask for a comprehensive report.

Mr. WELLOCK

Has the right hon. Gentleman any further information in regard to the carrying any further of the economic boycott?

Mr. BENN

I would rather that my hon. Friend awaited the considered and comprehensive statement.
