§ The MINISTER of HEALTH (Mr. Arthur Greenwood)The answer to the first part of the question is in the affirmative. A medical officer of my Department will be visiting South Shields shortly, with a view to investigating the question of the prevalence of tuberculosis in the borough.
§ Mr. EDEWill the evidence collected by this officer be tendered in public, and will interested parties have an opportunity of cross-examining witnesses?
§ Mr. GREENWOODThis is not an official inquiry, but I am sure that the medical officer will be glad to consult all who have knowledge of this question.
