HC Deb 16 July 1930 vol 241 cc1263-4
58. Mr. HORE-BELISHA

asked the Postmaster-General whether he is aware of the grievance felt in His Majesty's Ship "Adventure" owing to the irregularity of the delivery of the mails; and if he will look into the matter and take steps to remedy it?

The ASSISTANT POSTMASTER-GENERAL (Mr. Viant)

I regret to find that as the result of some local misunderstanding of the instructions when His Majesty's Ship "Adventure" was changing her stations certain mails were delayed in delivery. Steps were taken at the time to put the matter right and I hope that there will be no further cause for similar complaint.

Mr. MATHERS

Is it not inconsistent with adventure to have mails delivered regularly?
