HC Deb 16 July 1930 vol 241 c1272
40. Mr. HARRIS

asked the Minister of Transport who was responsible for the construction of the surface of the arterial road east of Reading and what was the cost; whether he is aware that it is unsatisfactory; and whether the contractors will be required to make it good?

I am unable to identify the section of road to which the hon. Member refers, but if he will furnish me with further particulars, I will inquire into the matter.

If the hon. Gentleman will take a motor car and go to Reading, he will very soon discover by the surface which part of the road it is.
