HC Deb 14 July 1930 vol 241 cc895-6
7. Major POLE

asked the Secretary of State for India if he will give particulars as to the relationship between, and the respective responsibility of, the Indian Posts and Telegraphs Department and the Imperial and International Communications, Limited, in respect of the beam transmitting and receiving stations at Poona and Dhond?

Mr. BENN

These stations are owned and worked by the Indian Radio Telegraph Company under a licence granted by the Director-General of Posts and Telegraphs, India. Although Imperial and International Communications Limited have, it is understood, a sub stantial holding in the Indian Company, they have no direct responsibility for the working of these stations.
