HC Deb 14 July 1930 vol 241 c909
20. Captain CROOKSHANK

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether any British troops have been employed in the recent disturbances in Egypt; and, if so, where and to what extent?

Mr. A. HENDERSON

The reply to the first part of the question is in the negative. The second part, therefore, does not arise.

Mr. THURTLE

Will the right hon. Gentleman bear in mind the undesirability of employing these troops in any attempt to thwart parliamentary government in Egypt?
