HC Deb 11 July 1930 vol 241 cc891-2

Order for Second Reading read.

Motion made, and Question proposed, "That the Bill be now read a Second time."

Mr. C. WILLIAMS

There are some points I wish to raise on this Bill. The first referred to the very important matter of the Lace Duties. I think the Government should explain why they are making this remarkable change in connection with the lace trade. It is not right that any of us should neglect the Isle of Man in this matter of the Lace Duties.

It being Four of the Clock, the Debate stood adjourned.

Debate to be resumed upon Monday next.

The remaining Orders were read, and postponed.

Whereupon Mr. SPEAKER adjourned the House without Question put, pursuant to Standing Order No. 3.

Adjourned at One Minute after Four o'Clock until Monday next, 14th July.
