HC Deb 09 July 1930 vol 241 c424
65. Mr. BUCHANAN

asked the Minister of Pensions the total savings made by his Department during the past 12 months on need pensions granted to parents of dead soldiers as a result of them receiving either a widow's or old age pension?

The MINISTER of PENSIONS (Mr. F. O. Roberts)

I would refer my hon. Friend to the reply which I gave on the 30th June to a similar question asked by the hon. Member for Leigh (Mr. Tinker), of which I am sending him a copy.

Mr. BUCHANAN

Has the right hon. Gentleman any intention of stopping the practice of reducing these pensions?
